When I first met Jen Lunsford last November, the thing that most stood out to me about her was her ability to communicate effectively. She attended the monthly meeting of the Pen Dems and was voted in as a new Committee member that evening. When Jen contributed to the conversation to a group, at that point, of mostly strangers, her comments were backed up with facts and rational points, and she did so with a command that made us all take notice. It was apparent that Jen was smart, focused, and motivated with a killer sense of humor and an easy smile. A few weeks later, I learned that all of the energy she emitted during that initial meeting was going to be directed at running for State Senate, and there was not a doubt in my mind that she could achieve that lofty goal.
Yesterday, Jen Lunsford was a guest on WXXI’s Connections with Evan Dawson. If you haven’t heard Jen’s story yet, or even if you have, give this dynamic half hour interview a listen. You will be just as wowed as I am by her obvious capability that is balanced by personal experience and thoughtful reasoning. We WANT people like Jen Lunsford to speak and fight for us in Albany! In my opinion, she embodies what elected officials should be.

If you want to get involved, there are several ways to help spread the word about Jen: visit her website to learn more. Coming up this Sunday, 10/21/2018, is one such opportunity. Join the Penfield Democrats to canvass for Jen by picking up ‘Get Out the Vote’ materials at 1665 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, beginning at 10am. Or, volunteer to make phone calls, another opportunity to help get Jen to Albany. You can sign up at www.votejenlunsford.com
I have supported Jen Lunsford for State Senate since she announced her candidacy and will vote for her for State Senate. In these last few days before the most important election of our lifetime, and at the polls on November 6, I hope you will too.
